Favorite historical fiction? The Light We Cannot See (WWII) and The Women of Chateau Lafayette (French Revolution, WWI, and WWII). Oh! And A Tale of Two Cities (French Revolution). My daughter has enjoyed Rutya Septes (SP?) and I will definitely read a few of her books in the future. Historical fiction is such a great gateway into learning more about history and other cultures.
