Amy Makechnie visited The Well School in Peterborough, New Hampshire, for our annual Literacy Day celebration. With her passion for writing, Amy inspired our students and emphasized the importance of reading. She shared her journey as an author, teacher, coach, and parent while embracing the core values of The Well School: Kindness, Cooperation, and Respect. Thank you, Amy!
Sarah, YOU inspired ME with your "Brain to Bookshelf" description, which I read before going to my latest school presentation (this is a true story!). It would be so cool to join forces someday and present about the different brains in our book characters...(and yes, Lucy Maude movie is going to be !!!!)
That's a great thing to share. At the moment, I'm dealing with some kind of respiratory infection, so I decided to force myself to take a day off.
One day, I will learn the art of taking a day for myself with grace, but needing a way to stay occupied that my mind and body both construe as rest, I picked up an oldest counted cross stitch project. And now I'm experiencing the pleasures of repeatedly counting from one to up to ten. XD
Love #5 and it is SO TRUE!!
Thanks for sharing.
Love the DEI description and am going to use that with my kids.

Oh my gosh a LUCY MAUDE MOVIE???? That could not be more perfect, or more perfect casting.
Also, just the titles of those school presentations sound amazing. Teach me your ways!
